Brucelea Haven Home for the Aged

Our Mission Statement

To provide an optimum level of care, programming, and service, based on individual identified needs, to the residents residing in Brucelea Haven.

Brucelea Haven is a 144 bed municipal home for the aged located in Walkerton, Ontario that has provided nursing and respite care for seniors in our community since 1898.

As providers of quality care, we have accepted the responsibility to support a high quality of life by encouraging independence, self-determination, dignity, and pride in the residents we serve. Our services and programs are reflective of the changing needs of our surrounding communities.

The Home's primary purpose is to provide a continuum of care in a homelike, caring setting, keeping in mind the rights of the individual, his or her dignity and worth as a human being.

The Home provides a full range of personal care services which include attendant care, nutritious meals, activation and recreation, palliative and pastoral care, housekeeping, laundry, and environmental services.
