welcome to Bruce County

Economic Development

Traditionally, the Planning & Economic Development Department's main role in economic development has been to administer grant monies to local groups who actively promote the County's tourism, agriculture and various community assets.  More recently, the Department has become more directly involved in promoting economic development, working with local municipal partners.

Signage and Wayfinding Strategy  There is a direct correlation between the effectiveness of a signage system and the satisfaction of individual tourists and groups travelling throughout the region.  The Strategy will permit more visitors to enjoy the natural and cultural resources that our region offers by creating and promoting a consistent, user-friendly wayfinding system, to include signage, banners, kiosks, landmarking devises, informational maps, brochures and web site components.
