    <title>Summer Students - Highways</title>

    <description><![CDATA[ <p><span style="font-size: small;">The Corporation of the County of Bruce is seeking student applicants for employment with the Highways Department from the middle of May through to the end of August.&nbsp; The successful candidates will work 45 hours per week and will be based out of the Walkerton Shop.&nbsp; Duties include assisting with road maintenance, clean up, cutting grass on County road allowances and properties, as well as traffic control/flagging at road construction sites.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Minimum</strong> Qualifications:</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Valid driver&rsquo;s licence &ndash; (minimum G2)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Able to work independently with minimal supervision</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Ability to lift heavy materials up to 30 lbs </span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Ability to stand for long periods of time</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Ability to use and troubleshoot small engine equipment (e.g. lawn mower, grass trimmer)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: small;">Mature, safety conscious attitude </span></li>

    <title>RNs, RPNs, PSWs - Gateway</title>

    <description><![CDATA[ <p style="text-align: center;">GATEWAY HAVEN HOME FOR THE AGED in Wiarton<br />Requires a <strong>Temporary Full-time Registered Nurse </strong>and<br /><strong>Permanent Part-time Registered Nurses,</strong><br /><strong>Registered Practical Nurses </strong>and <strong>Personal Support Workers</strong></p>
<p class="justifyleft">Applications are being accepted for Permanent Part-time <strong>Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN)</strong> and <strong>Personal Support Workers (PSW)</strong> at Gateway Haven in Wiarton, Ontario. Successful candidates will be expected to be available for all three shifts, weekend work and 'call-ins'. Candidates for RN and RPN must be registered with, or qualify for a temporary licence, with the College of Nurses of Ontario. For all positions, previous experience in long term care is a definite asset. The <strong>Temporary Full-Time RN </strong>position is expected to end in June of 2012 or upon the actual return date of the incumbent from their leave.</p>
<p><strong>Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses</strong><br />Successful candidates must be knowledgeable in terms of medication administration and pharmacology, especially relative to our frail and elderly residents. They must possess excellent documentation skills and the ability to plan, implement and evaluate resident care, applying best practice guidelines in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting.</p>
<p>Applicants must have strong leadership, oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work interdependently. Computer skills are essential. Familiarity using Point Click Care is an asset as is knowledge and experience with the MDS/RAI and the new LTC Act and regulations.</p>
<p>The successful incumbents will be expected to assume responsibility in a variety of areas including participation on committees.</p>
<p><strong>Personal Support Workers</strong><br />PSW applicants must have a Personal Support Worker Certificate. The successful candidates will deliver resident focused nursing care in a physically demanding environment and exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills. Point of Care (POC) experience is an asset.</p>
