Bruce County has created a new Government Relations Department as a key piece in the County’s organizational restructuring and strategic planning.

The budget acknowledges the fiscal and service delivery pressures faced by Ontario’s municipalities and has committed to avoiding further downloading of provincial pressures to municipal governments.

As the solar eclipse approaches, Bruce County Public Library is pleased to announce that they will be distributing solar glasses adhering to the ISO 12312-2 standards outlined by the Ministry of Health in Ontario.

Did you know that it is not safe to view the eclipse without proper eye protection? Health impacts may include retinal burns, blurred vision, and loss of eyesight (immediate or delayed onset).

Following a wildly successful first year, Bruce County Public Library is excited for the return of its Seed Library program. Starting Tuesday, April 2, Seed Libraries will be available in nine Branches, as well as the Bookmobile.

Please take notice that the Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed from Friday, March 29 (Good Friday) to Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday). Virtual customer service and in-person service will be available again on Tuesday, April 2 at 8:30 AM.

Bruce County will be hosting thirteen Household Hazardous Waste Collection events in designated locations across the County in 2024.
