Bruce County Public Library Developing Strategic Plan

The strategic planning initiative is an opportunity for everyone to share their input. Hearing from library users and non-users of all ages will help the library to determine its focus for the next few years.

Bruce County Public Library is developing a new strategic plan that will determine our way forward over the next few years. With 17 branches throughout Bruce County, the Library’s mission is to provide all the information, knowledge, and entertainment resources you need to achieve your goals, foster your interests, and realize your dreams.

The strategic planning initiative is an opportunity for everyone to share their input. Hearing from library users and non-users of all ages will help the library to determine its focus for the next few years. Public focus groups are planned for July 22 and 24 and provide a chance for participants to contribute in-depth comments. To register email libraryinfo@brucecounty.on.ca. Staff will also be attending local events to connect with community members and explore their ideas.

“Our library branches are essential community resources. Library staff are engaging with our communities to hear what our residents have to say about all aspects of library service. We understand the importance of their feedback in guiding our future” says Library Director Brooke McLean.

Everyone is invited to complete the survey at https://library.brucecounty.on.ca/bcplstrategicplan/. Paper copies are available at any of our 17 library branches. Results from the survey will be reported to the Library Board and used to shape the new strategic plan.
