Child Activity Assistance Program (CAAP)

The Child Activity Assistance Program (CAAP) helps families with the cost of activities such as school trips, school nutrition programs, extra-curricular activities, arts and cultural programs, Scouts or Girl Guides up to $500 per child, per year.

Am I eligible?

  • You must be a Canadian Citizen
  • Be a resident of Bruce County
  • Your household income is less than $49,466
  • You have dependent children under the age of 18

How do I apply?

For recreational sports - hockey, soccer, baseball or swimming - submit a Jumpstart application here.

Hardcopy applications can be picked up at any of the Bruce County Human Service office locations.

Ensure that you allow enough time for Jumpstart to process the application as processing time can be 4-6 weeks.

If Jumpstart no longer has funds, CAAP funds may cover recreational sporting fees or supplies.
