Dorrell Young Christmas Program

We seek your support in bringing to light HOPE and guiding the way to INCLUSION for children and families.

The fund provides a gift, often a toy, book or article of clothing, for children and teenagers served by our Department, whose families and caregivers struggle during the holiday season. The Dorrell Young Christmas Program receives monetary funds from both individuals and organizations, which provides coverage to the entire County of Bruce. Annually, the program allows for the provision of gifts for approximately 500 children within Bruce County as well as supporting adult members of the households through direct sponsorship. The program relies solely on donations through the support of generous individuals and organizations in our community. The approximate annual cost of operating the program is $10,000. In order to continue to provide this meaningful program we ask for your consideration in providing a contribution to this cause.

You may consider supporting this project in one of the following methods:

• An unwrapped gift suitable for a child or teenager can be delivered to any Human Services location near you
• You can sponsor a family (staff will provide gender and ages of family members)
• A monetary donation, any amount $20 or greater is eligible for a tax receipt.

In order to be eligible for a tax receipt the following information is required: Full name, including middle initial, and full address including street number, street name, apartment, suite, or lot and concession number, city, province, and postal code of the donor.
