The Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY PROGRAM has been established as a public service program for volunteers to pick-up litter along County road rights-of-ways. This program provides an opportunity for environmentally conscious citizens to make a personal contribution to a cleaner, more healthy environment. Groups or individuals agree to adopt a section of highway right-of-way and keep it clean. There is no cost to participate in the program and supplies are provided. Signs are installed at each end of the adopted section to acknowledge the individual/group’s participation. Together we can make a difference!
Adopt-a-Highway Program Currently Postponed
The Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services Department has made the difficult decision to postpone the Adopt A Highway clean up for Spring 2020. Participating groups will be notified when it is advisable to undertake the clean up. You too can make a difference! To become a volunteer or for more information on the Adopt-A-Highway Program, please contact the Transportation and Environmental Services Department.
