Weight/Load Restrictions will be in effect on several Bruce County Roads

Effective Monday, February 26, 2024, Bruce County Transportation & Environment Services Department will place weight/load restrictions of 5 tonne per axle on several County roads until further notice. Please refer to the Weight/Load Restrictions Map to verify the impacted Bruce County roads. 

With the warmer conditions in recent weeks, Bruce County staff have implemented road weight/load restrictions to protect the integrity of our road infrastructure. During Spring thaw, roads are susceptible to damage and the reduction of axle-weights helps preserve the life span of Bruce County roads.
