Transportation and Environmental Services

The Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services Department has approximately 691 km of road and approximately 148 bridges under its jurisdiction. The department administers a road system composed of 'collector and arterial' roads, which distinguishes the County system from the local municipal road system. This system provides a consistent level of service between local urban, industrial, commercial and recreational centres. The Transportation and Environmental Services Department also coordinates Waste Management for the County.

  • NOTICE: Pesticide Use Along Bruce County Roadsides
    The County of Bruce intends to control noxious weeds along the following rural County roadsides: BR1, BR2, BR3, BR4, BR6, BR6E, BR7, BR10, BR12, BR15, BR19, BR20, BR22, BR23, BR28, BR30, and BR86.
  • NOTICE: Roadway Line Painting Taking Place Between mid-May and mid-June
    Please take notice that the Bruce County line painting contractor will be conducting line painting operations on County Roads for the 2024 season during the months of May and June. This notice is to inform drivers to obey all signage and warning signs to keep their vehicles clean and clear of all roadway paint. Bruce County assumes no responsibility for paint damage claims from motorists who cross wet paint lines.
