Community Marketing Grant
Applications open in February 2026. Do you have what you need to submit a complete application?
*Note: all necessary quotes, project plans, and designs must be provided before an application can be approved.
- Confirm your project is focused within an eligible downtown CIPA (see below)
- Confirm your planned project meets the eligible project components (see below)
- Review the applicable community branding guidelines to ensure your project meets the guides (see below)
- Obtain all necessary municipal and / or County permits
- Obtain quotes from contractors for materials and / or labour
- Obtain designs / renderings / inspirations of the project for a visual scope
- Ensure project work can be completed by October 31 of the calendar year
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the grant:
- The applicants must be a combination of businesses, OR a combination of municipalities, not-for-profits or charities with a focus or mandate to service visitors.
- If businesses: A minimum of three Bruce County businesses must collaborate, with at least one being located within the downtown priority Community Improvement Project Area (CIPA)
- The applicants collaborate and develop a package itinerary or marketing campaign
- The project must comply with local municipal bylaws and have received appropriate permits and permissions.
- The project should attempt to include elements from the applicable Community Toolkit whenever possible.
- Project work must not have started (including purchasing any materials) until the application has been approved.
- Applicants previously awarded this grant are ineligible for funding for the same grant category unless the project is different from any funded projects completed in the last five years.
Max Funding:
- 50% of total project cost (excluding taxes) up to $2,500.
Eligible Projects
Eligible projects may include, but are not limited to:
- The overall design, development, and production of marketing collateral and paid promotion of the resulting campaign/itinerary, including:
- Completed Package Itinerary or Marketing Campaign
- Design and production of marketing collateral (i.e. costs of graphics designer, videographer, photographer, printing, production of video/reels, etc.)
- Paid promotion through marketing channels (costs of digital, print, radio advertisements/promotions)
Ineligible Projects
Ineligible projects include, but are not limited to:
- Projects that include collaborative partners located outside of Bruce County
- Projects that duplicate a role already fulfilled within the Community or Bruce County
- Projects that generate advertising / promotional revenue for the applicants

Project elements should properly reflect those included in the applicable branding document. Below are the communities eligible for this grant, permitting the project is focused within that community's priority downtown Community Improvement Project Areas (CIPA).
