Age Friendly Community Initiative

The Bruce County Age-Friendly Community Initiative is a program aimed at enhancing the quality of life for older adults through community engagement and collaboration with local stakeholders. The Bruce County Age-Friendly Community Initiative committee is actively working towards obtaining the World Health Organization's Age-Friendly Community designation. The goals include improving accessibility, enhancing health services, and fostering social inclusion, ultimately creating a vibrant, inclusive environment for seniors. The Bruce County Age Friendly Committee shall consist of a mix of public representation, lower tier municipalities and multi-sector which support/service seniors approximately 20 people in total.
