Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: Support for the arrival of immigrants, provides protection to refugees, and offers programming to help newcomers settle in Canada.
GBLIP Community Sub-committee has developed a Welcome Package Template. The English, French, Arabic and Ukrainian versions of the template were distributed to the seventeen municipalities in Grey and Bruce Counties for each to complete by adding local information and resources that help newcomer residents navigate as they settle into their new home.

Getting Around
Apart from stopping for the odd slow-moving turtle or tractor, 650 kilometers of local highways and all the side streets in between make getting around easy and even enjoyable. Congestion is very rare, commute times are low and shopping is always within minutes. Two wheels, four wheels, and even canoes and kayaks are preferred methods of transport here.
And if you do have to leave town, you're within an easy drive of Ontario's largest cities, the U.S. starting in Sarnia and some of the world's largest economic markets.
