Ripley

The town of Ripley is known as the Hub of Huron for good reason. Situated in the heart of the Township of Huron-Kinloss, this charming Scottish-flavoured village grew rapidly when the Wellington, Grey and Bruce Railway built a line through it in 1874. The arrival of the railroad prompted a building boom turning Ripley into a centre of commerce for the surrounding farm country. Ripley soon boasted of saw and grist mills, grain warehouses, stockyards, and hotels.
