Bruce County Council Meeting

  • Council received a presentation from Major Paul Pickering, 31 Territorial Battalion, Canadian Armed Forces regarding a Canadian Armed Forces Exercise on May 3 - 5, 2024. Presentation
  • Council received a Q1 2024 Information Report from the Museum Archives. Report
  • Council received the April 2024 Museum Information Report. Report
  • Council received a Housing and Homelessness Plan 2024-2034 Update from Human Services. Report 
  • Council approved that capital project TS-2023-027 for Bruce Road 19 be deferred to a future year, and budgeted funds including Canada Community Benefit Fund (CCBF) be reallocated to the Durham Street Bridge Project TS-2021-014 in the amount of $1,850,000.00. Council approved that the 2024 budget be revised to reflect a transfer from the County Bridge Reserve up to $1,167,000.00 to pay for the remaining costs of the Durham Street Bridge Immediate Repairs.   • Council approved that a by-law be introduced to establish Part 4 on survey Plan 3R10817, being a 2.134 metre widening, to the Public Highway System for Bruce County and forming part of Bruce Road 6 East. Report
  • Council approved deaccession from the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre’s collection the listed items in the “Archival Items Recommended for Deaccession April 2024”. Report
  • Council approved that a by-law be introduced authorizing the Warden and Clerk to execute the Town of South Bruce Peninsula’s Municipal Capital Facility Agreement for the Sauble Beach Paramedic Station. Report
  • Council approved that $100,000 be transferred to the Winter Control Reserve, that $750,000 be transferred to the Affordable Housing Program – Creation of New Units reserve, that $375,000 be transferred to the General Facilities Reserve, and that the remainder of the 2023 surplus funds be allocated to the Tax Stabilization Reserve as per existing policy.   • Council approved By-law 2024-022, being a by-law to authorize an Agreement with the Ontario Federation of Trail Riders. By-law
  • Council approved By-law 2024-023, being a by-law to authorize a Long-Term Care Home Service Accountability Agreement. By-law

Long Term Care Homes Committee of Management Meeting

  • Committee authorized the Director of Long-Term Care and Senior Services to sign and submit a Declaration of Compliance for Brucelea Haven and Gateway Haven to Ontario Health for the reporting period of January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023. Report
  • Committee received the Long Term Care Update Report for January, February, and March 2024. Report
