Bruce County Council Meeting

  • Warden Peabody presented the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association Award of Excellence to the Bruce County Economic Development Spruce the Bruce program.
  • After a Public Meeting, Council approved Bruce County Official Plan Amendment Application C-2024-003 for lands described as Range Lake Pt Lot 32 (Saugeen Township) in the Town of Saugeen Shores. Council directed the Clerk to bring forward a by-law to adopt the Official Plan Amendment. Report
  • Council received a presentation from Kate Burns Gallagher from the Western Ontario Wardens' Caucus on 2024 Priorities. Report
  • Council received the Q2 2024 Summary of Awarded Tenders from Corporate Services. Report
  • Council received the Q2 2024 Summary of Purchasing Policy Suspension Approvals from Corporate Services. Report
  • Council received the Q2 2024 Financial Statement Review from Corporate Services. Report
  • Council received the Q2 2024 Licensed Childcare and Early Years Report from Human Services. Report
  • Council received the Q2 2024 Housing Services Report from Human Services. Report
  • Council approved that a by-law be passed to establish Part 2 on survey Plan 3R10721, being a 2.56 metre widening, as part of the Public Highway System for Bruce County and forming part of Bruce Road 20. Report
  • Council approved that a by-law be introduced to appoint officers to enforce by-laws of Bruce County. Council approved that By-law Numbers 2019-053 and 2022-070 be repealed. Report
  • Council approved the Bruce County Emergency Response Plan and directed the Clerk to bring forward a by-law to adopt the Plan. Council approved that By-law 4129 be repealed. Report
  • Council approved the Debt Management Policy and that a by-law be introduced to adopt the policy. Report
  • Council approved the 2024 Bruce County Asset Management Plan and that the financial implications of the Asset Management Plan be brought forward as part of the 2025 budget process. Report
  • Council approved By-law 2024-047, a by-law to authorize a Municipal Funding Agreement on the Canada Community-Building Fund. By-law
  • Council approved By-law 2024-048, being a by-law to establish and assume Part 2, 3R10721, being a 2.56 metre widening adjacent to Bruce Road 20, as part of the public highway system for Bruce County. By-law
  • Council received By-law 2024-049, a by-law to adopt Amendment Number C-2024-003 to the Bruce County Official Plan. By-law
