Bruce County Council Meeting

  • Council received a delegation from Rob MacLellan, Ontario Association of Sewage Industry Services (OASIS), regarding Understanding the Limitations on Hauled Sewage Disposal Sites in Ontario. Presentation
  • Council received a Human Services report on 2024 Strategic Community Initiatives Grant Recipients. Report
  • Council received a Human Services report on Q1 2024 Housing Services Update. Report
  • Council received a Human Services report on the Local Data Resource for Non-Profit Housing Developers. Report
  • Council received from the Museum a June 2024 Information Report. Report
  • Council received an Office of the CAO report on 2024 Bruce County Community Grants. Report
  • Council endorsed the declaration of the Global Partnership for Nuclear Communities supported by CANHC as principles. Report
  • Council approved the funds required to complete the restoration project for the 1878 Schoolhouse and Log Cabin project for the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, at the cost of $106,175 + HST and any minor adjustments that have not yet been identified, and financed from the Tax Stabilization Reserve (TSR). Council approved that the tender be awarded to Colonial Building Restorations in the amount of $320,000 + HST. Report
  • Council approved that the approval of Draft Plan of Subdivision 41T-2019-02.48 (Hampton Woods) by Southampton Golf & Country Club be deemed not to have lapsed and that the approval of Draft Plan of Subdivision 41T-2019-02.48 (Hampton Woods) be amended to lapse three (3) years from June 6, 2024 and for any subsequent phases, five (5) years after the date of Final Approval of the preceding phase.   • Council approved that the Director of Transportation and Environmental Services and Deputy Treasurer of Corporate Services be authorized to enter into a Transfer Payment Agreement (TPA) with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for approved provincial funding (Spring Creek Restoration Project).   • Council approved a motion that Bruce County Council nominates Chris Peabody for the position of Director for the County Caucus on the AMO Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term.
  • Council approved By-law 2024-030, a by-law to establish a reserve and reserve fund policy. By-law
  • Council approved By-law 2024-031, a by-law to repeal reserve and reserve fund by-laws. By-law
  • Council approved By-law 2024-033, a by-law to execute a Municipal Capital Facility Agreement with the Town of South Bruce Peninsula for the Sauble Beach Paramedic Station located at 672 Main Street, Sauble Beach. By-law
  • Council received a communications update from Enbridge. Communication
  • Council received May Meeting & Previous Minutes update from the Grey Bruce Board of Health. Communication
  • Council received an Ontario West Municipal Conference update from the Western Ontario Wardens Caucus. Communication

Bruce County Housing Corporation

  • Committee approved the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) to arrange, on behalf of Bruce County Housing Corporation (BCHC), a refinancing of the existing charge/mortgage of land for its project, municipally known as 550 Willoughby, Huron Kinloss maturing September 1, 2024 in the approximate amount of $172,121.77. Committee granted authority to Officers to execute all documents as required in the mortgage renewal package. Report
