Bruce County Paramedic Services Gratefully Receive Donation
Bruce County Paramedic Services are grateful to Marvin Freiburger and Sons Inc., a truck and trailer repair shop near Walkerton, for their generous donation. On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Angela Frieburger and her son, Ben, donated $1,000 to support paramedic services in our region to Bruce County’s Deputy Chief of Paramedic Services, Raymond Lux.
The funds will support the purchase of IV training equipment for skill retention and development of paramedic staff. A portion will assist in purchasing additional “Big Bruce” stuffed toys which provide support and comfort to any young children who may have to take an ambulance ride.
“We recognize how important emergency services are to our community,” said Angela Freiburger. “It’s an honour to make this donation on behalf of Marvin Freiburger and Sons in appreciation of our local first responders.”
Bruce County Director of Paramedic Services/Chief Steve Schauss acknowledged the donation commenting that, “we appreciate the Freiburger’s generosity. Their annual support of Bruce County Paramedic Services makes a difference in the community.”
Bruce County Paramedic Services employs a staff of about 100 full- and part-time paramedics who provide pre-hospital care to citizens and visitors. They respond to medical and trauma emergencies with a fleet of 13 ambulances and three supervisory units that serve communities across the county.
