Durham Street Bridge Closed - Alternative Routes Available

Due to high water levels and large debris impacting the construction platform, the Durham Street Bridge in downtown Walkerton is closed to through traffic until further notice. Motorists are advised to use the posted Alternative Truck Routes for the duration of the Durham Street Bridge Closure.

Walkerton, Ontario: Due to high water levels and large debris impacting the construction platform, the Durham Street Bridge in downtown Walkerton is closed to through traffic until further notice.

Emergency vehicles, including Fire, EMS, and Police, will be permitted to use the bridge when responding to calls.

Alternate Routes Available
Motorists are advised to use the posted Alternative Truck Routes for the duration of the Durham Street Bridge Closure:

  • Northerly Alternative Truck Route: Bruce County Road 19 → Concession 8 (Brant) → Bruce County Road 3
  • Southerly Alternative Truck Route: Grey County Road 10 → Concession 10E (Carrick) → Highway 9
