Celebrating Paramedics Providing Critical Care Across All Communities in Bruce County

Bruce County’s team of paramedics are highly trained professionals, ready to respond whenever and wherever they're needed. Their work is as varied as it is vital. Every call they answer is different, but the commitment remains the same: to bring skill, compassion and calm to moments of crisis.

During National Paramedic Services Week, from May 18 to 25, 2025, join Bruce County in recognizing and celebrating the dedication, skill and compassion demonstrated by paramedics. This year's theme, “We Care. For Everyone” shines a light on paramedics' efforts assisting and supporting those in need, often in challenging and high-pressure situations.

Bruce County’s team of paramedics are highly trained professionals, ready to respond whenever and wherever they're needed. Their work is as varied as it is vital. Every call they answer is different, but the commitment remains the same: to bring skill, compassion and calm to moments of crisis.

"Paramedic Services Week gives us an opportunity to highlight the essential work our paramedics do and the difference they make,” says Steve Schaus, director of Paramedic Services. "We invite you to join us in celebrating our healthcare heroes who are always ready to respond when called upon.”

Paramedics continue to adapt to evolving healthcare needs while maintaining their core mission of providing immediate, compassionate and skilled care to all members of our Bruce County community.

“Our roles and responsibilities are growing and changing. And we’re rising to the challenge,” adds Schaus. “From community paramedicine to preventive healthcare, we’re tasked with providing next-level patient navigation and care in new surroundings, using new technologies.”

We’re grateful for Bruce County paramedics who are there for our community, whenever and wherever they are needed.
