Thanksgiving Closure: Monday, October 13, 2025 

Please note the following operating hours for Monday, October 13, 2025:  

Support and Services: The Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will close for the day. Virtual and in-person service at these locations will resume on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.  

Libraries: Bruce County Public Library Branches will close for the day and reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. 

Online resources are available 24/7 at http://www.library.brucecounty.on.ca.  

Museum: The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre will close for the day and will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.  

Museum Archives close for both Sunday, October 12 and Monday, October 13, 2025. 

Also note, the Museum’s exterior exhibits, including the Mackenzie Log Home and the S.S No. 10 Amabel Log School House, will close for the season as of Tuesday, October 14, 2025. 

Human Services: There is no EarlyON child and family programming on Thanksgiving Monday. Discover more about EarlyON programming, including program schedules.

For essential services, please call 211 or visit 211 to assist with accessing community resources and support. The 211 service is 24/7 and language interpretation is available.
