Weight/Load Restrictions on Bruce County Roads in Effect at 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026

Effective March 1, 2026, Bruce County enforces reduced load restrictions to protect roads during spring thaw, when road damage is most likely to occur. 

Effective Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 9 a.m., Bruce County Transportation and Environmental Services Department restricts vehicles to load limits of 5 tonnes per axle on several County roads, until further notice. 

Impacted Bruce County roads include:  

  • Bruce Road 26 

  • Bruce Road 9 – Highway 6 to Lion’s Head 

  • Bruce Road 14 

  • Bruce Road 23 – Bruce Rod 15 to Bruce Road 20 

  • Bruce Road 33 – Bruce Road 20 to Bruce Road 25 

  • Bruce Road 40 – Bruce Road 3 to Grey Bruce Line 

  • Bruce Road 15 – Bruce Road 3 to Bruce Road 20 

  • Bruce Road 6 – Bruce Road 4 to Bruce Road 1 

  • Bruce Road 6 East 

  • West Road
