An opportunity to help shape Bruce County's 20-Year Forest Management Plan

Residents and visitors are invited to share what they value most about Bruce County Forests as well as what priorities they want included in the new 20-year plan.

Bruce County is creating a new 20-year Forest Management Plan. We are asking residents to share their thoughts to help shape it.

The plan will guide how Bruce County manages its Forests over the next 20 years. It will focus on:

  • keeping forests healthy,
  • responsible public access,
  • and protecting natural areas for future generations.

“Bruce County is known for its natural beauty, and our forests are a large part of that character,” said Bruce County Warden Luke Charbonneau. “Protecting and enhancing our natural, green spaces is important for our environment, economy, and quality of life. Community input will help shape the Forest Management Plan which will serve Bruce County for generations.”

The short online survey lets residents and visitors share what they value most about Bruce County Forests and what priorities they want included in the new plan. For those without online access, they can visit their local Bruce County Public Library Branch for printed copies of the survey.

The survey will be open for six weeks and will close on July 28, 2026, at 11:45 p.m. at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BC-FMP.
