Following a rapid spring melt and heavy rains, the Teeswater River flooded in Pinkerton within the Municipality of Brockton on Friday, March 13th, 2026.

As a result, Bruce County’s Transportation and Environmental services closed a section of Bruce Road 15 after waters breached a privately owned dike, flooding and eroding the roadway.

A portion of Bruce Road 15 remains closed between Sideroad 5 Greenock and Greenock Brant as of March 18th, 2026. This closure is for all vehicles, including emergency responders. Emergency responders are using alternative routes to provide services.

A detour is now in place, using Sideroad 5, Concession 10, and Greenock Brant. Signs are in place to guide vehicles through the detour.

The County continues to work with the Municipality of Brockton, provincial agencies, and conservation partners in response to the flooding. We anticipate that it will take some time to make repairs to Bruce Road 15 and do not have an estimation of time for reopening the route.

Updates about the conditions and closures of Bruce County roads are available online.
