Notice: Increased trail activity at Brant Tract on October 24

Please expect higher-than-usual activity on and around the trails from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. due to a racing event.

Trail users are advised that the Sleddog Sports Association of Southwestern Ontario (SSASO) will be holding a timed racing event at Bruce County’s Brant Tract on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Brant Tract property will remain open to the public during the event. However, visitors should plan ahead and expect increased activity on and around the trails. The event will take place on the West Road and Red Pine Loop trails. If you plan to visit the Brant Tract during this time, please avoid these trails and respect event participants. Dogs must also remain on a leash at all times.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
