NOTICE: Road Rehabilitation Taking Place on Bruce Road 6E in Mildmay

Please take notice that road rehabilitation will be taking place on Bruce Road 6E, from George Street to Kleist Street, in Mildmay, Ontario. Expect minor disruptions during the project, such as laneway access and a minor period of water shut off to affected residents. Notices will be provided 24 hours in advance. Motorists can expect a daily road closure from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM in place starting Monday, July 29, 2024, and ending in October 2024.

Please take notice that road rehabilitation will be taking place on Bruce Road 6E, from George Street to Kleist Street, in Mildmay, Ontario. The work is a joint project on behalf of Bruce County and the Municipality of South Bruce. The work includes rehabilitation of storm and sanitary sewer, rehabilitation of watermain, patching of sidewalk, extension of concrete curb, and road resurfacing. This will result in minor disruptions during the project, such as laneway access and a minor period of water shut off to affected residents. Notices will be provided 24 hours in advance. Motorists can expect a daily road closure from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM in place starting Monday, July 29, 2024, and ending in October 2024.  

The section of Bruce Road 6E described above will remain open to local traffic only. Signage will be in place during the road closure. Users are asked to use alternate routes, to be patient, and drive safely as the Contractor works to complete crucial repairs to the roadway.  

Kurtis Smith Excavating Inc. has been awarded the Bruce Road 6E (Absalom St E) Rehabilitation work. BM Ross and Associates are conducting the Contract administration and inspection of the work.
