Bruce County Council Meeting

Bruce County Council approved:

  • a by-law to establish fees and charges for Bruce County.
  • a by-law to delegate limited authority to the Chief Administrative Officer for certain acts pursuant to Section 275 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended.
  • a by-law to authorize the execution of a Multi-Program Ontario Transfer Payment Agreement between Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario, as represented by the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Bruce County for the provision of the Homelessness Prevention Program.
  • a by-law to authorize the execution of a Municipal Access Agreement between Bruce County and Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority.
  • a by-law to appoint the Bruce County Forestry Technician as the Area Weed Inspector for Bruce County.
  • a by-law to adopt Amendment Number C-2022-002 to the County of Bruce Official Plan.
  • a by-law to authorize the execution of an Agreement between Bruce County and The Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry.
  • a by-law to authorize the execution of a cost-sharing agreement between Bruce County and the Municipality of Kincardine for the Storm Sewer Bruce Road 15 Inverhuron Project.
  • a by-law to authorize certain new capital work(s) of Bruce County; authorize the submission of an application to Ontario Infrastructure and Lands Corporation ("OILC") for financing of such capital work(s); authorize temporary borrowing from OILC to meet expenditures in connection with such capital work(s); and authorize long-term borrowing for such capital work(s) through the issue of debentures to OILC.

Bruce County Housing Corporation

  • BCHC approved the transfer of up to $150,000 of capital reserve to conduct unforeseen emergency termite repairs at 1065 Huron Terrace, Kincardine. Report
  • BCHC received the 2022 Q1 Arrears Report. Report

Corporate Services Committee

  • Committee approved that $1,000,000 be transferred from the Tax Stabilization Reserve to the Insurance Reserve until the County’s cyber security insurance is increased from $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. Report
  • Committee authorized the execution of a 10-year agreement between Bruce County and Bell Canada for Next Generation 9-1-1 services. Report
  • Committee received the 2021 Audit Report as presented by B.D.O. & Company L.L.P. and approved the 2021 Audited Consolidated Financial Statements. Report
  • Committee received a summary of Awarded Tenders for Q1 2022. Report
  • Committee received a summary of Purchasing Policy Suspension Approvals for Q1 2022. Report
  • Committee received a report on Reserves and Reserve Fund Analysis 2021 Actual and 2022 Projection. Report

  • Committee approved the organizational structure for the Employment Services Division, as well as the Regional Manager job description. Report
