Planning & Development Committee:

  • After a Public Meeting, Committee approved Bruce County Official Plan Amendment C-2022-008 (Atchison Gibbons). Report
  • After a Public Meeting, Committee approved Consent Application B-2022-070 (Ciuciura). Report
  • After a Public Meeting, Committee approved Consent Application B-2022-035 (Crane). Report
  • Committee approved Bruce County Official Plan Growth Management Amendment C-2022-012, as well as Amendment C-2022-012-2 (Servicing). Report
  • Committee approved Local Official Plan Amendment L-2021-014 (JK Development GP2 Limited). Report
  • Committee approved Consent Application B-2022-034 (Barry’s Construction). Report
  • Committee approved the creation of a Spruce the Bruce Reserve where any unspent Spruce the Bruce funds will be transferred annually. Report
  • Committee approved to sponsor the 2023 Ontario Tankard/Scotties Event at the platinum level ($6,000 in cash plus $4,000 in-kind contribution) with funding from the Tax Stabilization Reserve. Report

Transportation & Environmental Services Committee:

  • Committee approved that the former Bruce Road 6 (now referred to as Concession 8 Road in Huron-Kinloss), between Lake Huron and Lake Range Drive, be transferred to Huron-Kinloss and that the four abutting road widenings in the former Bruce Road 6, between Lake Range Drive and Highway 21, also be transferred to Huron-Kinloss. Report
  • Committee approved that the 2022 Budget for Capital Project 2021-018-Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of West Road be amended to include an additional $60,000 from the Capital Roads Reserves to account for consultation activities with Saugeen Ojibway Nation and to complete the reports in 2022. Committee approved staff to sign the agreement with SON for payment. Report
  • Committee received a report on Q3 Capital Projects. Report

Paramedic Services Committee:

  • Committee approved the execution of a lease agreement for the Sauble Beach Paramedic Station between Bruce County and the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. Report
  • Committee approved the 2023 Canadian Triage Acuity Scale (CTAS) Response Time Performance Plan Report, which will be sent to the Ministry of Health on or before October 31, 2022. Report

Bruce County Council Meeting:

Bruce County Council approved:

  • A by-law to authorize the execution of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of South Bruce Peninsula for the use of Town Facilities as Interim Staging Sites for Gateway Haven
  • A by-law to authorize the execution of a Lease Agreement with Home and Community Support Services of Grey/Bruce
  • A by-law to adopt Part One of Amendment Number C-2022-012 to the Bruce County Official Plan
  • A by-law to adopt Part Two of Amendment Number C-2022-012 to the Bruce County Official Plan
  • A by-law to authorize the execution of a Project Funding Agreement with the Bruce County Housing Corporation for the Canada-Ontario Community Housing Initiative
  • A by-law to authorize the execution of an Amendment to the Emergency Response Agreement with the Canadian Red Cross Society
  • A by-law to adopt Amendment Number C-2022-008 to the County of Bruce Official Plan


Motion:

  • Council approved a Motion, brought forward by Councillor Hammell and Councillor Peabody, that requests a letter be sent to the Province requesting that Bill 124 be repealed.


Notice of Motion:

  • Councillor Peabody brought forward a Notice of Motion that will request a letter be sent to the Province requesting increases to the ODSP Ontario Works Housing Allocation and increases to funding that will tackle drug addiction in Bruce County.

Executive Committee:

  • Committee received a report on the Municipal Modernization Program - Intake 2 Update. Report
