Bruce County Council Meeting

Bruce County Council approved:

  • a by-law to authorize the execution of a lease extension and amending agreement (Lease # L10714) between Bruce County and His Majesty the King in right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Infrastructure.
  • a by-law to authorize the execution of a lease extension and amending agreement (Lease #L07789) between Bruce County and His Majesty the King in right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Infrastructure.
  • a By-law to establish and assume certain lands as a public highway for public use under the jurisdiction of Bruce County.

Human Services Committee

  • Committee received a report the Demographic Housing Study. Report
  • Committee received a report on the Affordable Housing Development Toolkit - Phase 3. Report

Bruce County Housing Corporation

  • Committee approved to reallocate $249,000 of surplus capital funding towards the video surveillance project at 308 John St. Walkerton, 401 Cayley St. Walkerton, 920 Old Durham Rd. Walkerton, 1065 Huron Terr. Kincardine, 647/659 Arlington St. Port Elgin, 743, Wellington St. Port Elgin, and 757 Wellington St. Port Elgin. Committee approved to award the tender to the highest scoring compliant bidder, Vipond Inc. in the amount of $453,897.20 + HST. Committee also approved to award the addition of previously removed scope at 81 2nd St. Chesley if surplus capital funding is realized throughout the course of the project timeline at a limit of $55,000 + HST. Museum Committee

  • Committee approved that the ownership of the AMICK collection be redirected from the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre (BCM&CC) to Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON) and that the BCM&CC confirm written approval from the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism (MCM) Archaeology division to authorize the redirection of this collection from the BCM&CC to SON.
