Bruce County Council Meeting

Bruce County Council approved:

• the submission of Caleb Hull (Councillor, Town of South Bruce Peninsula), Laurie Golden (Councillor, Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula), and Rod Anderson (Deputy Mayor, Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula) for consideration for appointment to the Niagara Escarpment Commission by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
• a by-law to authorize an Agreement with Community Connection for the provision of services.
• a by-law to authorize temporary borrowing of money to meet the current expenditures for the year 2023.

Executive Committee

• Committee approved that the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) be appointed as alternative delegate on the Municipal Innovation Council for Bruce County. Report
• Committee directed staff to recommend amendments to the Procedural By-law to effectively replace the standing committee structure. Report
• Committee approved a by-law to adopt the updated Code of Conduct for Council Members and Local Boards, including the complaint protocols and forms. Report

• Committee approved revisions to the Physical Plant Policy. Report

Human Services Committee

Paramedic Services Committee

• Committee authorized the execution of a lease agreement for the Saugeen Shores Ambulance Station between Bruce County and Joanne Weishuhn-Lee, and authorized the Chief of Paramedic Services and/or Director of Corporate Services to make minor changes and complete the extension of the Lease Agreement. Long Term Care Homes Committee of Management

• Committee approved a lease agreement between Bruce County and Wiarton and District Cooperative Nursery School. Report

Corporate Services Committee

• Committee directed the Director of Corporate Services to write-off the outstanding accounts receivable balance of $35,000 associated with work for phase 2 of the Foundational Hydrogen Infrastructure Initiative in 2020 that did not proceed. Report
