Bruce County Announces New Director of Human Services

Bruce County is pleased to announce the appointment of Tina Metcalfe as the new Director of Human Services, effective March 30, 2023.

As a member of the County’s Senior Leadership Team, Tina will plan, deliver, and advocate for responsive and innovative services that help individuals and families enhance their level of participation and quality of life in our communities.

Under Tina’s leadership, the Human Services team will also continue to oversee: 

• Business and Human Services Integration
• Children’s Services
• Housing Facilities
• Housing Services
• Income and Support Services
• Strategic Community Initiatives and Funding

Tina Metcalfe is a dynamic and experienced Human Services leader with a demonstrated history of service system management of the child care and early years sector, affordable housing programs and supports, and income and stability supports. She has over twenty years of experience in collaborating with community partners on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that achieve social impact. Tina has been the Manager of Children’s Services for Bruce County since 2019 and holds a Master of Business Administration and an Honours degree in Social Work.
