Planning & Development Committee

  • Committee members welcomed Mayor Jay Kirkland, who represented South Bruce Peninsula at the Bruce County Council and Committees table.
  • Committee members highlighted that they are wearing Every Child Matters pins as part of Bruce County’s Truth and Reconciliation efforts. The pins feature artwork designed exclusively for Bruce County by Taylor Cameron, an emerging woodland artist from Saugeen First Nation No. 29. 
  • After a public meeting, Committee deferred to a later date a decision on Bruce County Official Plan Amendment Application C-2022-016 for lands described as Part Lots 18 &19, Concession 2 (Amabel) in the Township of South Bruce Peninsula. Report
  • After a public meeting, Committee approved Official Plan Amendment Number C-2022-003 (Noah Martin). Report
  • After a public meeting, Committee approved Bruce County Official Plan Amendment C-2023-006 (Goetz). Report
  • Committee approved Consent B-2023-030 (Korpikoski), subject to conditions. Report
  • Committee received an update on the 2023 Summer Company Program. Report
  • Committee received an update on the Incentives and Community Improvement Plan. Report

Transportation & Environmental Services Committee

  • Committee received the Bruce County Active Transportation and Recreational Trails Master Plan. Report
  • Committee recommended approval of a by-law to regulate the use of lands known as the Bruce County Rail Trail and County Forests. Committee approved to repeal By-law Number 2022-066. Report
  • Committee approved to reallocate $75,000 from the 2023 Capital project 2021-050 Anti-icing Equipment Purchase to fund the purchase of two snow-blowers and the refurbishment of a V-plow. Report

Human Resources Committee

  • Committee received the 2023 Health and Safety Review. Report

Corporate Services Committee

  • Committee referred Development Charge recommendations to a staff report for an upcoming meeting. Agenda

Bruce County Council Meeting

Council approved:

  • a by-law to Establish a Portion of Land, known as Bruce Road 6 East, as Part of the Public Highway System for Bruce County and to Assume and Dedicate the said Lands for Road Purposes. 
  • a by-law to Remove Certain Roads and Road Widening Lands from the County Road System for the purpose of transferring part of Concession 7 Road to the Municipality of Kincardine.
  • a by-law to adopt Amendment Number C-2022-003 to the Bruce County Official Plan.
  • a by-law to adopt Amendment Number C-2023-006 to the Bruce County Official Plan.
