NOTICE: Confirmed COVID-19 outbreak at Brucelea Haven

UPDATE: Grey Bruce Public Health declared this outbreak over on January 12, 2024.

On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, Grey Bruce Public Health has confirmed a COVID-19 outbreak at the Brucelea Haven Long Term Care Home in Walkerton, Ontario. Grey Bruce Public Health identifies the home to be in Outbreak status. All precautions and safety measures are in place to support all residents and staff, as part of Bruce County’s Response Plan. Public Health will advise when the outbreak is over.

Visitors are reminded to stay home if they are sick and to wash their hands frequently. 

Bruce County’s Long Term Care Homes are in full compliance with the Long Term Care Homes Act and all associated regulations. The focus for the homes continues to ensure a robust pandemic response.
