National Indigenous Peoples Day, celebrated annually on June 21, is an occasion to come together, reflect on and celebrate the unique heritage, traditions and knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.

Bruce County and the Municipality of Brockton will host Evacuation and Reception Centre Training Days in June. This hands-on training will equip municipal staff with the knowledge and tools to activate and operate these centres effectively.

In response to the planned closure of Walkerton District Community School (WDCS) on Monday, June 2, the community has come together to support families impacted by this schedule change. Day Camp (free) for children ages 4-10 years old will be offered through the Town of Hanover and Bruce County.
