While Friends groups have helped raise funds for remodels, new collections, shelving, furniture, programs and more, in these most recent years, they have been generously supporting the Bookmobile project. BCPL has received generous donations from Friends groups in Lion’s Head, Tobermory, and Chesley, with a combined total of $9,500.

Bruce County Paramedic Judy Brookshaw and Retired Paramedic Gloria Bowes received Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medals on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Paramedic Services Committee Meeting at the Walkerton Administration Centre.

Fire Chiefs across Bruce County have collectively declared a fire ban on all open-air burning, with the exception of campfires for cooking and warmth. This ban is in effect as of June 1, 2023 and will remain in effect until such time that it has been declared safe to lift.

Brant Tract trail users are advised that the Bluewater Athletic Association of the Bluewater District School Board will be hosting a mountain bike race event at the Brant Tract County Forest on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
