Bruce County has recently been recognized as one of Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers in the 2025 regional ‘Canada’s Top 100 Employers’ competition.

Bruce County Paramedic Services would like to thank the Cargill Homecoming Committee for their generous donation of $3,000 and the Cargill & District Community Fund for their generous donation of $500. These funds will purchase stuffed animals for children that are treated and transported by Bruce County Paramedic Services.

In recognition of Black History Month, the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre presents a special screening of the documentary Secret Agents of the Underground Railroad. Showing on February 8 at 1:00 PM in the Museum’s Bruce Power Theatre, this captivating film sheds light on the courageous efforts of staff at a luxury hotel in Niagara Falls, NY, who played a pivotal role in helping enslaved people find freedom in Canada.

Bruce County is excited to collaborate with their local municipalities to bring back their Community Development program, Spruce the Bruce, for the 16th year. Launching on February 1, 2025, the program provides grant funding to revitalize and grow local downtown businesses and communities.

Business to Bruce in partnership with the Province of Ontario is excited to announce the launch of the Side Gig Program that gives aspiring entrepreneurs in Bruce County the opportunity to turn their passions and skills into profitable side businesses.

Please take notice that Bruce County's Peninsula Hub in Wiarton will be closed on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 due to significant weather conditions.

Bruce County has called on the provincial government, through a Pre-Budget Consultation Submission, to take strategic action on issues like rural infrastructure funding, energy host community support, poverty reduction, rural transit, community safety, rural healthcare, housing affordability, and long-term care.

In anticipation of worsening weather conditions across the region on Monday, January 27, 2025, Bruce County Transportation & Environmental Services is advising motorists to reconsider travel plans and to stay off the roadways if there is no need to travel.

UPDATE (Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 12:08 PM): This Significant Weather Event has ended. Caution should still be observed as regular maintenance activities are still occurring to return the highway conditions to a state of repair.
