The Bruce County Rail Trail will be closed for one day on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 for drainage work between Bruce Road 2 and Sideroad 5 South in Walkerton. There will be no trail access for users while work is underway, and no detour will be placed during the construction period.

The Bruce County Emergency Management Program would like all residents and visitors of the County to be aware of tornado risks and to know what to do if there are tornado watches or warnings issued.

Please take notice that the Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed from Saturday, August 3 to Monday, August 5 (Civic Holiday Long Weekend). Virtual customer service and in-person service will be available again on Tuesday, August 6 at 8:30 AM.

Please take notice that Bruce Road 7 between Concession 4 and Concession 6, south of Ripley, will be closed daily August 7 to August 8, 2024, from approximately 6:30 AM until 5:00 PM for culvert replacement, weather permitting.

The Community Safety and Well-Being Planning (CSWBP) Mental Health Action Table has been diligently working to address and meet the mental health needs of community members in Grey Bruce. Leading the action table are key collaborative partners: Keystone Child, Youth and Family Services, Brightshores Health System, and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Grey Bruce.

Please take notice that on August 1, 2024, from 6:30 AM until approximately 5:00 PM, a portion of Bruce Road 15 at Donnelly Crescent in Pinkerton will be closed for culvert replacement, weather permitting. A detour will be in place along Donnelly Crescent.

Bruce County Long Term Care & Senior Services recently celebrated Dr. Johannes Van Dorp, who has retired after 39 years of service to the Gateway Haven Long Term Care home in Wiarton. Dr. Van Dorp officially retired on July 2, 2024.

Please take notice that on July 31, 2024, from 6:30 AM until approximately 5:00 PM, a portion of Bruce Road 15 west of Eden Grove from civic address 125 through civic address 129 will be closed for culvert replacement, weather permitting.

Please take notice that on July 30, 2024, from 6:30 AM until approximately 5:00 PM, a portion of Bruce Road 19 at Concession 10 in Brockton will be closed for culvert replacement, weather permitting. A detour will be in place along Concession 8 to Sideroad 20.
