On September 5, 2024, Bruce County Council directed staff to begin engagement on a draft of the new Official Plan that includes draft policies and mapping schedules which are now available for public review.

Please take notice that the Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed from Saturday, August 31 to Monday, September 2 (Labour Day Long Weekend).

The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada is making funding available to help Indigenous Peoples and the public participate in the impact assessment process for the proposed Bruce C Nuclear Project, a new nuclear generating station located at the existing Bruce Power nuclear power site near Kincardine, Ontario.

Please take notice that micro-surfacing asphalt maintenance will be taking place in August 2024 on Bruce Road 7, between Concession 12 and South Line, and on Grey-Bruce Line between Bruce Road 40 and Concession 4. Motorists can expect short-duration lane closures, with traffic control measures in place, starting late August 2024 and ending in mid-September 2024.
