Bruce County is now recruiting an Information Technology Services (ITS) Director for our municipal corporation and partner agreement agencies, based at the Walkerton Administration Centre.

Bruce County has prepared a draft new Official Plan that will guide growth in the County to 2046. The draft plan reflects the results of a broad engagement project called Bruce GPS, current provincial direction, and the Bruce County context. There are many ways to learn more and engage on the Draft New Bruce County Official Plan!

This October, celebrate Canadian Library Month and Ontario Public Library Week (OPLW) with Bruce County Public Library. OPLW takes place the week of October 20, and this year’s theme is Libraries for Life. BCPL will showcase services and products they offer that support different ages and stages of development. They will also host local authors all month long at various Branches throughout Bruce County.

While Bruce County is a safe place to live, work and play, emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time. Lindsay Tract trail access between Ira Lake Road and Bradley Drive will be closed between October 2, 2024 and October 4, 2024 for the replacement of two culverts on Spring Creek.

The CSWBP Situation Table for Acutely Elevated Risk (STAR), is an evidence-informed initiative that involves over 35 partners from police services, human services, and other community agencies who work together to reduce the chance of imminent harm or victimization in situations where there is a combination of elevated risk factors.
