Trail users in Bruce County are reminded that long gun (rifle) season for deer hunting is Monday, November 4 to Sunday, November 10, 2024. Hunters and recreational users should take steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the historic D-Day invasion, a pivotal event during World War II that changed the course of history. In honour of the bravery and sacrifices of those who served, the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre will host a special event: Honouring D-Day: Uniforms, Weapons & Equipment Show on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Bruce County would like to remind users that off-road vehicles are prohibited on the paved path along Bruce Road 25 in Port Elgin, between Highway 21 and Saugeen Beach Road. This trail was designed to offer a safe space for non-motorized activities like walking and cycling. All off-road vehicles must use the road portion of Bruce Road 25 while commuting in that area of town.

Please take notice that the Bruce County Administration Centre in Walkerton, the Lakeshore Hub in Port Elgin, the Peninsula Hub in Wiarton, and the Penetangore Hub in Kincardine will be closed from Saturday, October 12 to Monday, October 14 (Thanksgiving Long Weekend). Virtual customer service and in-person service will be available again on Tuesday, October 15 at 8:30 AM.
