TD Summer Reading Club is back and ready to kick off with an ‘out-of-this-world’ party. This year Bruce County Public Library (BCPL) will host their annual Summer Reading Club Kick-off party at their Walkerton Branch, located at 253 Durham Street East, on Saturday, June 15, and will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce has recognized the library’s commitment by designating all 17 branches, as well as the Bookmobile, as Dementia-Friendly Community supporters. Decals at all locations note this designation.

Spring is here and soon it will be summer! Along with the nice weather comes the threat of severe thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are often accompanied by high winds, hail, lightning, and heavy rain. In rare cases, thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

The Bruce County Rail Trail will be undergoing corridor and surface improvements throughout the month of June between Sideroad 30 and the Huron-Bruce Road, south of Mildmay. Work will include corridor widening and the application of aggregate material to improve trail accessibility. Trail access may be impeded, and temporary closures may be required at times.
