Please take notice that Bruce Road 10 at Concession 6, north of Chesley, will be closed on August 28, 2024, from approximately 6:30 AM until 5:00 PM for culvert replacement, weather permitting. There will be no through traffic. Signage will be in place during this closure identifying an alternate route.

Comments submitted by September 12, 2024, will be considered.

The planning for this project initially followed the planning process established for Schedule ‘C’ activities under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) document. Schedule ‘C’ projects must complete all five phases of the Class EA. The purpose of the MCEA was to identify any potential environmental impacts associated with the proposal and to plan for appropriate mitigation of any impacts.

Bruce County joins the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) in calling on the province to commit to reviewing the provincial-municipal fiscal framework at the upcoming AMO conference in August.

Please take notice that Bruce County is holding a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Amabel Works Yard at 413 Municipal Road in Sauble Beach, ON. The event will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre calls on community members to take part in a survey about your experience with the Museum.

On Thursday, August 15, 2024, Bruce County Council endorsed the County’s Asset Management Plan. This plan is a provincial requirement for all municipalities.

Bruce County Long Term Care and Senior Services showed appreciation for all the students that have recently completed or are completing their co-op and clinical placements at the County’s long term care homes in Walkerton and Wiarton. The County also recognized staff members who shared their knowledge and offered mentorship to the placement students.
